Amazon expands AI strategy with new tools for hiring and operations

In a move to expand its AI-driven operations, Amazon has introduced two new tools, Connect Talent and Connect Decisions, aimed at improving recruitment and supply chain processes.

Connect Talent is designed to support large-scale hiring by conducting interviews automatically. This can help companies manage recruitment more efficiently, especially during peak business periods. Connect Decisions, on the other hand, focuses on supply chain management by analysing data to assist with planning and purchasing decisions.

Both tools are built to improve speed and efficiency across operations.

These launches are part of Amazon’s broader strategy to integrate AI with human work, a concept the company refers to as “humorphism.” The approach aims to make collaboration between humans and AI systems more seamless and practical.

Amazon has been increasing its investment in AI, including a recent investment in OpenAI announced in February 2026. Colleen Aubrey said the goal is to make working with AI feel more natural for users.

However, the company’s growing focus on automation has also led to some job cuts, highlighting the impact of AI adoption on workforce structures.
