In a step to simplify online shopping, Amazon has launched a new AI feature that helps users get quick answers about products directly on the shopping page.
Announced on April 28, 2026, the tool uses “AI-powered shopping experts” to deliver fast audio responses. This removes the need to scroll through long product descriptions or read multiple reviews. Users can simply ask questions like whether a product is beginner-friendly or comfortable and receive instant information.
The new Q and A feature is part of Amazon’s “Hear the highlights” offering. This feature already provides audio summaries for select products in the US through the app. Users can tap to hear a quick overview or start a chat to ask more detailed questions using text or voice.
The tool also works alongside Amazon’s existing AI features, including Rufus for product research, Interests for personalized recommendations, and Help Me Decide for suggestions based on browsing behavior. Together, these tools aim to make the shopping experience faster, easier, and more interactive.
