WhatsApp beta hints at upcoming Meta One Plus and Premium memberships

Meta appears to be moving closer to bringing its Meta One subscription service directly to WhatsApp. The latest findings from a beta version of the Android app suggest that users may soon be able to access and manage Meta’s paid subscription plans without leaving WhatsApp.

The feature was reportedly spotted in WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.26.23.10. The update indicates that Meta could offer 2 subscription tiers under its Meta One service — Meta One Plus and Meta One Premium.

According to the reported details, users subscribing to either plan may receive WhatsApp Plus benefits along with premium features across WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and Meta AI through a single subscription.

Meta One Plus is expected to be priced at EUR 6.99 per month, which is approximately Rs. 700. The plan is said to include WhatsApp Plus features as well as access to enhanced image and video creation tools.

The higher-tier Meta One Premium plan is reportedly priced at EUR 20.99 per month, approximately Rs. 2,200. It may also include a 1-month free trial. In addition to all the benefits available under Meta One Plus, the premium plan is expected to offer advanced reasoning capabilities for complex prompts, higher AI usage limits, and increased image and video generation allowances.

Both subscription tiers are expected to include WhatsApp Plus features. These may include additional app themes, custom ringtones, more pinned chats, list customisation options, premium stickers and other enhanced user features.

Meta had announced Facebook Plus, Instagram Plus and WhatsApp Plus subscription plans last month. These services are currently being tested with selected users and are designed to provide exclusive features and expanded AI capabilities across the company’s platforms.

While Meta has not officially confirmed a wider rollout, the latest beta findings suggest the company is preparing to integrate the Meta One subscription experience directly into WhatsApp.
