In his new role, Peter will oversee operations across 4 major divisions in the United Arab Emirates, including ground handling, cargo and logistics, security services, and military ground services. He will lead a workforce of more than 5,000 professionals, supporting over 33 million passengers annually and handling nearly 1 million tons of cargo while maintaining global aviation service standards across critical operations.
Peter brings more than 20 years of experience across aviation, logistics, operational transformation, and executive leadership.
Before joining Velora Aviation, he served as Senior Executive Advisor and earlier as Executive Vice President Operations at Saudi Ground Services (SGS). During his tenure, he managed operations across 29 airports, serving 100 million passengers and overseeing more than 10,000 employees while driving transformation and digitization initiatives.
Earlier, Peter spent 24 years with Swissport, where he held several senior leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer for the company’s U.S. cargo and logistics business, Chief Executive Officer for South Africa, Germany, and Asia-Pacific operations, along with strategic business development leadership responsibilities that supported Swissport’s global expansion.
His experience spans aviation services, operational scalability, mergers and acquisitions, strategic growth, and large-scale business transformation across international markets.’
