This promotion marks a major leadership milestone in Smita’s nearly 20-year career across specialty chemicals, food ingredients, life sciences, industrial solutions, marketing, and commercial strategy.
Before taking on this role, Smita served as Regional Marketing & Communications Director – APAC at Caldic. In this position, she played an important role in strengthening regional brand engagement and aligning APAC priorities with the company’s global vision.
Smita has been associated with Connell Caldic for more than 15 years and has held several leadership positions across the organization. Her previous roles include APAC Commercial Digital Manager, Head Core Products – Industrial Solutions & Life Sciences, Marketing Manager – Life Sciences & Industrial Solutions, Business Unit Head – Food & Nutrition, Product Manager – Food Ingredients, and Assistant Product Manager.
Through these roles, she built extensive expertise across commercial strategy, product management, digital initiatives, food ingredients, industrial solutions, and life sciences businesses.
Earlier in her career, Smita worked with UniColloids Impex, where she gained strong experience in B2B food ingredients, business development, supplier partnerships, customer engagement, and market expansion.
