Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPVL) has announced a leadership change in its human resources function, with Anjali Byce stepping down from her role as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective close of business hours on June 30, 2026.
The company has promoted Sitaram Kandi as the new Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Management Personnel, with the transition set to take effect from July 1, 2026, according to a regulatory filing.
In her resignation letter dated May 13, 2026, Byce stated that she is leaving the organization to pursue opportunities outside the company. “I hereby tender my resignation as CHRO – Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle Limited to pursue career opportunities outside the company,” she wrote, adding that she would be relieved from her responsibilities at the end of June.
Kandi brings more than 30 years of experience in human resources and industrial relations. Over the course of his career, he has worked with global organizations including GE, Monsanto, TE Connectivity, and Bosch.
Kandi is currently serving as Chief Human Resources Officer at Tata Motors Ltd and has previously led HR for the company’s passenger and electric vehicle business, along with skill development and industrial relations functions.
TMPVL confirmed that the leadership transition will officially take effect from the beginning of July.
