Samsung tipped to launch premium Carbon Standing Case with Galaxy Z Fold 8 series

Samsung may introduce a new premium accessory alongside its upcoming foldable smartphone lineup, according to recent reports. The company is said to be preparing a Carbon Standing Case for the expected Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, extending an accessory previously launched with its Galaxy Z TriFold device.

Reports suggest Samsung has recently filed trademark applications for the Carbon Standing Case in several markets, including Australia, Canada, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. The filings have sparked speculation that the accessory could debut alongside the company’s next-generation foldables expected to launch next month.

The Carbon Standing Case was first introduced with the Galaxy Z TriFold and featured a lightweight carbon fibre-based design along with a built-in kickstand for hands-free viewing. If Samsung follows a similar design approach, the case for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series may offer protection for one side of the device while maintaining a slim and lightweight profile.

The existing Carbon Standing Case for the Galaxy Z TriFold is priced at $108, approximately Rs. 10,000, suggesting the new version could also carry a premium price tag compared to third-party alternatives.

Meanwhile, industry rumours indicate that Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event could take place on July 22 in London. The company is expected to unveil 2 new book-style foldables, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.

Leaked specifications suggest the Galaxy Z Fold 8 may feature a dual-camera setup, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra could arrive with a triple-camera system, including a 200-megapixel primary sensor and a 50-megapixel sensor. Both devices are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is also rumoured to include a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging support, along with a 6.5-inch external display and an 8-inch foldable screen.

While Samsung has not officially confirmed the accessory or the foldable lineup, the latest trademark filings point toward a broader ecosystem of premium accessories for its next-generation foldable smartphones.
