Samsung’s next budget smartphone lineup is beginning to take shape through regulatory listings. The Galaxy A08 4G has appeared in fresh certifications, while possible Galaxy M08 4G and Galaxy F08 4G variants have also surfaced. The listings suggest an India launch could be approaching, although Samsung has not confirmed a launch date.
The Galaxy A08 4G appeared on the US Federal Communications Commission database with model numbers SM-A085M and SM-A085M/DS. The documents point to single-SIM and dual-SIM versions, along with GSM, WCDMA, LTE, Bluetooth, FM radio and dual-band Wi-Fi on 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
The listing also points to a larger battery. The phone was tested with an LC-196 battery rated at 5,830mAh, which could be marketed as a 6,000mAh battery. If accurate, this would be an upgrade over the Galaxy A07 4G. The filing also mentions Samsung’s EP-T1510 adapter, suggesting 15W wired charging. A schematic shows a vertically arranged rear camera setup.
Meanwhile, Wi-Fi Alliance listings show the Galaxy A08 4G alongside SM-E085F/DS and SM-M085F/DS. While the database does not reveal their commercial names, these models are expected to launch as the Galaxy F08 4G and Galaxy M08 4G. All 3 models are listed with dual-band Wi-Fi support.
Samsung commonly offers Galaxy F and Galaxy M models with specifications similar to its Galaxy A series. The 3 new phones were also spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards database with model numbers SM-A085F/DS, SM-E085F/DS and SM-M085F/DS, further suggesting an India launch may be close.
The Galaxy A08, F08 and M08 are expected to replace the Galaxy A07, F07 and M07, which launched in India in October last year. The previous models featured 6.7-inch HD+ displays, MediaTek Helio G99 chips, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, IP54 ratings, Android 15-based One UI 7, 50-megapixel primary rear cameras with secondary sensors, 8-megapixel selfie cameras and 5,000mAh batteries with 25W wired charging.
Samsung had also promised 6 Android OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates for the trio.
