The upcoming OnePlus 16 has appeared on the company’s China website, revealing its design, 3 colour options and 4 memory configurations. The flagship is also available for pre-order in China, although its launch date has not yet been announced.
Pre-orders are being handled through Oppo’s China website. The OnePlus 16 looks similar to the OnePlus 15, with a large rear camera module featuring 3 cameras and an LED flash. Images also show the company’s customisable AI key.
The smartphone will be available in Tomorrow’s Star, Martian Masterpiece and Dark Forest colour options. The Tomorrow’s Star version features a rear panel where certain initials light up to reveal coordinates. The silver and orange models have gradient-style finishes, while the black version uses a more subtle flat design.
The phone will be offered in 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB configurations. It is not yet clear whether all 4 storage options will be available in every colour.
OnePlus has not yet disclosed the full specifications on its official landing page. However, recent reports have pointed to a 165Hz display. The company is said to have worked with BOE on its X4 panel, which could support an 185Hz refresh rate in gaming mode. The OnePlus 15 also featured a 165Hz display.
The OnePlus 16 is also expected to use the yet-to-be-announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. The processor is reportedly based on TSMC’s 2nm process, with an octa-core design and Adreno 850 GPU.
For photography, the phone is tipped to feature a triple rear camera system with a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera.
The reported specifications also include a 9,000mAh dual-cell battery with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The OnePlus 16 is currently available for pre-order in China, while details about its launch timeline remain undisclosed.
