After delays earlier this year, Nvidia is set to launch its cloud gaming platform, GeForce Now, in India starting April 16. The service will initially roll out in an early access phase, meaning it will be available only to select users at first.
Users who had previously registered on Nvidia’s website are expected to receive early access. Confirming the launch, the company said, “The wait is almost over — GeForce NOW launches this GFN Thursday, April 16 for early access in India.”
During this phase, users will be able to play popular titles such as Resident Evil Requiem, Fortnite, Counter Strike 2, and International Edition Cricket 26.
GeForce Now is a cloud-based gaming service that allows users to stream PC games directly from remote servers instead of running them on their own devices. This enables high-performance gaming even on low-powered devices, as long as there is a stable internet connection.
The platform supports a wide range of devices, including laptops, desktops, smartphones, smart TVs, and compatible streaming devices. It also integrates with existing game libraries, allowing users to play titles they already own on platforms like Steam and Epic Games Store.
Nvidia offers multiple membership tiers for the service. Higher-tier plans provide benefits such as access to more powerful servers, longer gaming sessions, and improved visual quality with features like ray tracing and higher frame rates.
However, the company has not yet revealed pricing details for India.
The launch marks a significant step in expanding cloud gaming access in the country, bringing high-end gaming experiences to a broader user base without the need for expensive hardware.
