Fresh developments indicate that Motorola is preparing to launch its next Edge series smartphone soon, as the Motorola Edge 70 Pro has appeared on a certification platform, hinting at an imminent global debut.
The device has been listed on the UAE’s Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) website with model number XT2607-1 and equipment registration number ER58336/26. While the listing does not reveal specifications, it confirms that the smartphone is nearing its official launch.
In India, an e-commerce platform has already teased the arrival of a new Motorola handset, widely believed to be the Edge 70 Pro. The teaser shows the phone with a “coming soon” tag, along with design highlights such as blue, green, and white colour options, a triple rear camera setup, and a hole-punch display.
The upcoming smartphone is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 series processor. It may also include a 50-megapixel front camera and a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is likely to succeed the Motorola Edge 60 Pro, which launched in India in May 2025 at a price of Rs. 29,999. The previous model came with a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme processor and a 6.7-inch 1.5K quad-curved pOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate.
For photography, the Edge 60 Pro featured a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 700C primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. It also offered a 50-megapixel front camera. The device was powered by a 6,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging and 15W wireless charging support.
With certifications and teasers now surfacing, more details about the Motorola Edge 70 Pro are expected to be revealed soon.
