Motorola Razr 2026 lineup tipped to launch early with upgraded specs and higher pricing

Fresh leaks suggest that Motorola’s next generation of foldable smartphones could arrive earlier than expected, along with key details about pricing and features.

Motorola is expected to unveil the Motorola Razr 2026 series on May 21, 2026, in North America. The lineup is likely to include the Razr 2026, Motorola Razr+ 2026, Razr Ultra 2026, and Razr Fold 2026, with a slight price increase across models.

The Razr 2026 is tipped to start at $799.99 (around Rs 74,400) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The Razr+ 2026 could be priced at $1,099.99 (around Rs 1,02,300) for 12GB + 256GB. The Razr Ultra 2026 may cost $1,499.99 (around Rs 1,39,500) with 16GB + 512GB, while the Razr Fold 2026 could reach $1,899.99 (around Rs 1,76,800). The increase is likely linked to rising memory costs.

The upcoming devices are expected to retain the clamshell foldable design with minor refinements. Leaked renders show premium finishes such as Pantone Cocoa Wood and Orient Blue Alcantara.

Both the Razr 2026 and Razr+ 2026 are expected to feature 6.9-inch AMOLED inner displays. The base model may offer a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Razr+ 2026 could deliver a smoother 165Hz experience.

In terms of performance, the Razr 2026 is likely to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7450X chipset clocked up to 2.60GHz. The Razr+ 2026 may use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. Both devices are expected to support LPDDR5X RAM, with the base model using UFS 3.1 storage and the plus variant offering faster UFS 4.0. They are likely to run on Android 16-based Hello UI.

For cameras, both models may include dual 50-megapixel rear sensors, including an ultra-wide lens, along with a 32-megapixel front camera.

Battery capacity is expected to differ slightly. The Razr 2026 may pack a 4,800mAh battery with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging. The Razr+ 2026 could feature a 4,500mAh battery with faster 45W wired charging and the same 15W wireless support.

Connectivity options may include USB Type-C, Bluetooth, NFC, dual SIM with eSIM, Wi-Fi 6 on the base model and Wi-Fi 7 on the plus variant. Both are expected to carry an IP48 rating.

In terms of dimensions, the Razr 2026 may weigh 188g, while the Razr+ 2026 could weigh 189g, with similar foldable form factors.
