In this role, Shekhar will contribute to the company’s people and business priorities as it strengthens its global engineering, procurement, and construction operations. His appointment adds depth to HR leadership across KPIL’s expanding workforce and business ecosystem.
Shekhar brings extensive experience across strategic HR, HR business partnering, talent management, performance management, employee engagement, learning and development, HR operations, industrial relations, and organizational effectiveness.
Before joining KPIL, he served as General Manager HR at JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd., where he strengthened HR functions and employee engagement. He led initiatives such as “Lakshmi Star Of The Quarter” and the “Yes We Can” training program for sales effectiveness, while also driving recruitment cost optimization, manpower planning, talent development, and productivity improvement.
Earlier at JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd., he held the role of DGM HR and also served as HR Manager, contributing to HR strategy, performance management, and business-aligned HR initiatives across multiple phases of his tenure.
Prior to this, Shekhar worked as AGM HR at Subros Limited, where he focused on HR excellence, talent development, and engagement. He introduced initiatives such as LEAD for talent development, implemented SAP SuccessFactors for performance management, and launched a Train the Trainer program. His work also supported policy benchmarking and contributed to HR recognitions including ACMA Gold and CII HR Excellence awards.
Shekhar also served as HR Business Partner at Avery Dennison, managing HR, IR, and administrative functions across Gurgaon and Mumbai. His work included talent acquisition, engagement, retention, compliance, audits, learning and development, rewards, and employee welfare initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Shekhar worked as Manager HR at Mahindra & Mahindra, focusing on recruitment, training, engagement, and organizational effectiveness. He began his journey as a Management Trainee at Krishna Maruti Ltd., building foundational experience in HR operations and talent management.
