Prior to this elevation, Jimmy served as AVP – HR at Kotak Life, where he was responsible for overseeing critical HR operations, payroll processes, compliance frameworks, and employee services. During his tenure, he contributed to enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the company’s growing workforce across multiple locations.
This promotion reflects the company’s focus on nurturing internal talent and acknowledging leaders who have played a key role in driving operational excellence and people-centric processes. With extensive experience in payroll administration, statutory compliance, compensation management, and HR operations, Jimmy brings deep expertise to his expanded leadership role.
Before joining Kotak Life, Jimmy spent more than 11 years with Bestseller India as Payroll Manager. In this role, he managed payroll operations, compensation administration, employee lifecycle processes, onboarding, and statutory compliance. He also played an important role in strengthening payroll governance, compensation benchmarking, process optimization, and compliance management within the organization.
Earlier in his career, he worked with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as Senior Payroll Executive. During this period, he gained valuable experience in payroll processing, provident fund administration, employee benefits management, statutory compliance, and HR operations. His time at TCS provided him with strong exposure to large-scale workforce management and structured HR processes.
Over nearly 20 years of professional experience, Jimmy has built a strong reputation in HR operations, payroll management, compliance governance, compensation administration, and employee services. His career journey reflects a consistent commitment to process improvement, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and delivering effective people practices.
Jimmy holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Mumbai, which has provided him with a strong foundation in finance, governance, and business management alongside his HR expertise.
His elevation is expected to further strengthen Kotak Life’s HR operations, payroll governance, and compliance capabilities as the company continues to focus on operational excellence and employee experience.
