Honor’s Robot Phone to debut globally with AI-powered motion tracking camera

Honor has officially confirmed that its upcoming Robot Phone will launch globally in Q3 2026. The smartphone was first teased last year and later showcased at the Mobile World Congress, drawing attention for its advanced camera technology focused on video creators.

The device features a gimbal-style camera system that can automatically track movement while recording videos. This built-in motion tracking is designed to keep footage stable and smooth without requiring extra equipment.

Honor has also partnered with German cinema equipment company ARRI to further improve the phone’s video capabilities. The collaboration is expected to enhance professional-level video performance for creators and filmmakers.

With its motion tracking technology, the Robot Phone is being positioned as a compact alternative to devices like the DJI Osmo. Users will be able to capture stabilized and dynamic videos directly from the smartphone.

Honor recently showcased the phone’s creative features at Cannes, highlighting its focus on content creators and mobile videography.

The smartphone is expected to face strong competition when it enters the market. Its launch timeline places it alongside other major upcoming devices, including Apple’s first foldable iPhone and Google’s Pixel 11 series.

According to reports, the rollout is likely to begin in China before expanding to global markets later in 2026.
