As businesses look to resolve technology disruptions faster, AI-powered incident management is becoming increasingly important. Freshworks has acquired Robusta Dev, an Israel-based software-as-a-service company that uses AI to identify incidents, find their root causes and recommend solutions.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen Freshservice’s incident management and IT operations capabilities. It follows Freshworks’ acquisition of the incident management platform FireHydrant earlier in January.
Robusta Dev’s technology helps detect disruptions, investigate their causes and suggest remediation actions. Freshworks said the acquisition will connect diagnostic intelligence with IT service management and modern incident orchestration, supported by platforms such as FireHydrant.
“LLMs are fantastic at troubleshooting incidents,” said Natan Yellin, co-founder and CEO of Robusta.
He added, “Our technology lets AI Agents do that effectively in large enterprise environments, where there are so many raw events that investigating each one individually would be exorbitant from a token cost perspective. We are incredibly excited to join Freshworks, which gives us the scale and platform to bring that experience to engineering teams everywhere, while keeping humans firmly in control of decisions that touch production.”
The acquisition adds to Freshworks’ efforts to strengthen AI-driven incident management by helping engineering teams investigate disruptions and identify possible fixes more efficiently, while keeping people in control of production-related decisions.
