DBS Bank has appointed Nitin Chengappa as its Managing Director.
In his new role, he will support the bank’s strategic growth initiatives, drawing on his extensive experience in retail banking, affluent banking, branch network leadership, and customer relationship management.
Nitin brings nearly 30 years of experience across retail banking, wealth management, sales, and business growth. Before joining DBS Bank, he held leadership positions at Standard Chartered Bank, where he most recently served as Managing Director and Head – Affluent Distribution and Branch Network. Earlier, he also led the bank’s NRI Business.
Prior to Standard Chartered, Nitin spent more than 11 years at HSBC. He also held key roles at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and GE, building strong expertise in banking leadership, customer engagement, and business expansion.
