Realme is preparing to expand its 16 series in India with the upcoming Realme 16x 5G. The smartphone will launch on August 12 at 12 pm IST and will be available through Flipkart. Official teasers have revealed its design, colour options and several key specifications.
The Realme 16x 5G will be offered in Endurance Brown and Glory White, with a vertical rear camera module. The phone will pack a 7,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging, bypass charging and reverse charging.
The battery is claimed to offer up to 156.2 hours of music playback and up to 9 hours of gaming on a single charge. The device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and will offer 14GB of RAM, including dynamic RAM, along with 256GB of internal storage. It will also feature Realme’s in-house Flux Engine.
For the display, the Realme 16x 5G will support a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness. Thermal management will be handled by a 5,300 sq mm AirFlow vapour chamber cooling system.
The phone will also feature Realme’s self-developed GT Boost gaming optimisation engine, designed to improve gaming performance.
Durability will be another focus, with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance and military-grade MIL-STD-810 shock resistance.
For photography, the smartphone will carry an AI-powered rear camera system led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. AI features will include AI Eraser, AI Ultra Clarity, Motion Photo and Dual-View Video Mode.
The Realme 16x 5G is expected to succeed the Realme 15x, which was launched last year at ₹16,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
