As digital commerce continues to evolve, Flipkart has announced a series of senior leadership appointments across artificial intelligence, fintech, payments, and engineering functions to enhance its technology capabilities.
The company has appointed Goda Ramkumar as Vice President, Data Science and AI Solutions, Mohan Palisetti as Vice President, Fintech and Payments Engineering, and Nitesh Jain as Distinguished Architect. The appointments are aimed at supporting Flipkart’s growing focus on AI-driven solutions, payments infrastructure, engineering systems, and technology platforms that serve customers, sellers, and partners across its marketplace.
Goda Ramkumar will lead data science and AI initiatives across marketplace operations, customer trust and safety, planning, and fulfilment. She joins Flipkart from Swiggy, where she served as Head of Data Science and Applied AI. Her previous experience includes leading AI and analytics initiatives at startups, Ola, and Sabre.
Mohan Palisetti will oversee Flipkart’s payments and financial services technology infrastructure in his role as Vice President, Fintech and Payments Engineering. He joins from Mastercard, where he served as Senior Vice President of Engineering and led technology strategy for real-time payment capabilities. His career also includes leadership positions at PayPal, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, and D.E. Shaw.
Nitesh Jain has been appointed Distinguished Architect and will be responsible for technology strategy across Flipkart’s engineering systems. His focus areas include platform architecture, system reliability, and developer productivity. He brings experience from Razorpay, Angel One, and Walmart Global Tech.
Commenting on the appointments, Balaji Thiagarajan, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Flipkart, said the company remains committed to investing in technology, data, and financial services capabilities as customer expectations and the digital commerce landscape continue to evolve.
These appointments follow the recent addition of Smita Ojha as Vice President, Engineering, and Amit Sharma as Vice President, Programme Management, reflecting Flipkart’s broader efforts to strengthen its technology leadership team.
