Wake Tech has appointed Amy Hall as its Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Currently serving as Executive Director of Human Resources, Hall will assume her new role on September 1, leading the college’s HR strategy and operations.
With more than 20 years of human resources leadership experience across higher education, nonprofit organizations, and the corporate sector, Hall brings extensive expertise in talent management, employee relations, organizational leadership, and workforce development. She is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Welcoming her to the role, Dr. Scott Ralls, President of Wake Tech, said, “Amy has a collaborative leadership style, a deep commitment to service and a thoughtful approach to leading people and organizations. I know she will continue the tradition of excellence established by our Human Resources team and provide steady leadership and care for our employees and our college.”
As CHRO, Hall will oversee talent acquisition, employee relations, training and professional development, benefits, compliance, and college-wide employee programmes and events. She will work closely with the leadership team to align HR priorities with Wake Tech’s strategic goals while fostering a workplace culture focused on service, excellence, and student success.
Hall is actively involved in advancing the HR profession through her roles on the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) Leadership Program Development Committee and the CUPA-HR Membership Engagement Council. She also serves on the Kenan-Flagler Business School Alumni Council, the White Memorial Presbyterian Church Personnel Committee, and has previously served on Parent Teacher Association boards.
