VinFast India has named Vineet Srivastava as Deputy Chief Executive Officer for its e-scooter business, bringing on board the former Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) executive after more than 15 years with the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer.

Srivastava shared the announcement on LinkedIn, saying, “I’m delighted to step into new role of Deputy CEO at VinFast India [E-Scooters]. Excited for this new chapter and the opportunities ahead.”

Before joining VinFast India, Srivastava served as General Manager at HMSI, where he was responsible for sales strategy and planning, institutional sales, and retail finance. His role included leading the company’s nationwide sales strategy, aligning market planning with financial objectives, and managing retail finance operations.

One of his notable achievements at HMSI was the launch of the AD Inventory Funding Programme. According to his LinkedIn profile, the initiative onboarded 894 authorised secondary network partners and mobilised more than ₹2.7 billion in funding to improve working capital access and strengthen the company’s presence in rural markets. He also worked on retail finance programmes designed to improve financing approval rates for first-time credit customers.

Before joining HMSI in February 2011, Srivastava spent more than 4 years at Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance as Deputy Chief Manager – Alternate Channel. In that role, he established alternate distribution channels across eastern Uttar Pradesh and managed partnerships with banks and insurance brokers.

Earlier in his career, he also held positions at SBI Life Insurance and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, building experience across sales, distribution, and financial services.
