Dehradun-based medtech startup Sunfox Technologies has raised $7 million, approximately Rs 67 crore, in a Series A funding round co-led by Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, Alchemy Capital and 3one4 Capital.

The company, which develops portable and AI-enabled healthcare solutions, said the fresh capital will support its next phase of growth. The funds will be used to expand its presence across India, build global go-to-market capabilities, scale its organisation and continue investments in research and development.

Sunfox had previously raised Rs 15 crore in a pre-Series A round in August 2024. The round was led by Venture Catalysts, with participation from Finvolve through the IA Growth Opportunities Fund I and Brew Opportunities Fund, Universal Group, RP Singhvi Group and others. The company also received investments from all 5 Sharks during the first season of Shark Tank India.

Founded in 2016 by Rajat Jain, Arpit Jain, Saurabh Badola, Nitin Chandola and Sabit Rawat, Sunfox focuses on improving access to diagnostics, particularly in cardiac care.

Its flagship Spandan range is a portable, medical-grade ECG platform designed for hospitals, clinics, telemedicine networks and home-based monitoring. The technology allows ECGs to be recorded closer to patients and can identify cardiac patterns that may require further medical attention.

Over the years, Sunfox has developed multiple Spandan solutions for personal, clinical and institutional use, supporting applications across homes, clinics, hospitals, public-health programmes and remote-care networks.

The company said its products are now present in more than 15 countries and have reached healthcare providers across more than 1,800 PIN codes in India. Its technology can also support hub-and-spoke models for public-health systems.

According to Sunfox, around 60,000 Spandan devices have been deployed across India, covering more than 20,000 villages across states and union territories. Its Spandan One platform has been used to screen approximately 5 million patients annually.

Sunfox operates in a competitive cardiac monitoring and diagnostics market, alongside companies such as AliveCor and Tricog. Other healthcare startups are also expanding portable and remote diagnostics, including Monitra Health in cardiac monitoring and Molbio Diagnostics through its battery-operated Truenat platform.
