With nearly 16 years of senior leadership experience within SBI, Kaur will now take on a broader strategic mandate focused on corporate policy execution, asset-liability management, institutional operations, and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives across the bank’s extensive domestic and international network.
Based at SBI’s corporate headquarters in Mumbai, she will play a key role in driving macro-level financial strategies and supporting the bank’s long-term growth and modernization agenda.
Prior to her elevation, Kaur served as Chief General Manager for nearly 3 years, leading critical administrative and business functions. Earlier, she held the position of General Manager, where she contributed to key operational and business initiatives across the organization.
Her leadership experience also includes serving as Deputy General Manager – Personal Banking in Bhopal, where she focused on strengthening retail banking operations and customer-centric growth initiatives.
Adding to her diverse banking background, Kaur spent more than 4 years in Los Angeles as Senior Vice President & Regional Manager for State Bank of India (California). During this tenure, she led commercial growth, regulatory compliance, and operational management for the bank’s U.S.-registered subsidiary.
Over the years, she has built deep expertise in retail banking, risk management, business strategy, and international banking operations. Her experience across domestic and global markets has positioned her as a respected leader within the banking industry.
Kaur’s appointment reflects SBI’s continued focus on strengthening its leadership bench as it advances large-scale transformation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth across its global footprint.
