Ahead of their upcoming launches, Qualcomm and MediaTek’s next flagship smartphone chipsets have appeared on Geekbench 7, offering an early look at their expected performance.
Unspecified Xiaomi and Oppo devices were listed on the benchmarking platform with model numbers M1544F and PMX110, respectively. The Xiaomi reference device reportedly used Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, identified by model number QTI SM8975. The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max was listed with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 Pro, identified as Mediatek MT6995.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 recorded 3,582 points in the single-core test and 12,247 points in the multi-core test. The Dimensity 9600 Pro scored 3,242 and 11,132 points, respectively. Qualcomm’s upcoming chipset therefore led MediaTek’s chip in both tests.
The Qualcomm chipset also showed a higher peak clock speed. It is listed with 3 efficiency cores at 3.74GHz, 3 performance cores at 4.03GHz and 2 prime cores, reaching a peak speed of 5.11GHz. This would make it one of the first mobile platforms to cross the 5GHz mark, bringing its peak speed closer to desktop-level performance.
The Dimensity 9600 Pro is listed with 3 efficiency cores at 3.10GHz, 3 performance cores at 4.35GHz and 2 prime cores, with a peak clock speed of 4.55GHz. Its benchmark scores and base clock speed across the 3 clusters are lower than Qualcomm’s competing chipset.
MediaTek will launch the Dimensity 9600 Pro and Dimensity 9600 on September 15. Qualcomm will unveil the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 at Snapdragon Summit 2026, scheduled from September 22 to September 24. More details are expected during the launch events.
