SK Finance Ltd has appointed Vijay Sethi as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
In his new role, he will lead the company’s people agenda across organizational transformation, culture, leadership development, talent strategy, employee experience, and HR operations as the company expands across rural and semi-urban markets.
Vijay brings more than 23 years of HR leadership experience across BFSI, FMCG, manufacturing, retail, and services. Before joining SK Finance, he served as HR Head at L&T Finance, where he led a team of more than 100 HR professionals and drove the transformation of the strategic HR function.
His responsibilities included HR leadership for the Rural Business Finance vertical, covering more than 2,300 branches, over 22,000 employees, and an AUM of more than ₹23,000 crore. He also oversaw Customer Service and Business Operations across India.
Earlier, Vijay served as HR Head at Aavas Financiers, where he led the group-level HR function and strengthened people processes. He also held regional HR leadership roles at Tata Housing Development Company and Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company, gaining experience in workforce strategy, organizational effectiveness, and leadership partnering.
His international experience includes leading HR operations for Max and E-Max businesses at Landmark Group in Dubai, as well as working with Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group. Earlier, he held roles at Larsen & Toubro Limited, ICICI Bank, and Patanjali Foods, building expertise across corporate HR, business partnering, talent management, employee relations, and organizational development.
Vijay is also a recognized HR professional. He is a former Joint Secretary of NHRDN – Indore Chapter, a Certified CII HR Excellence Assessor, a jury member for the CII HR Circle competition, and an Associate Member of ISABS.
His career includes supporting organizations through NSE and BSE listing journeys and working with professionals across more than 25 nationalities.
