Samsung’s next flagship smartphone lineup may be moving closer to its market debut, with the standard Galaxy S27 reportedly appearing on India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification database. The listing has fuelled speculation about its India launch, although Samsung has not officially confirmed the details.
Galaxy S27 surfaces on BIS certification platform
According to a report, the smartphone has been listed with the model number SM-S952B/DS, which is believed to belong to a variant of the Samsung Galaxy S27.
The Galaxy S27 series is expected to launch in India and other global markets in January or February 2027. The lineup could include 4 models: Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Ultra and a new Galaxy S27 Pro. The Pro variant is reportedly expected to sit between the Plus and Ultra models.
Exynos 2700 chipset could power upcoming models
Recent reports suggest that the standard Galaxy S27 will feature Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2700 chipset. A company executive recently confirmed that the processor will be manufactured using a 2nm process, similar to its predecessor, while offering performance improvements.
The Exynos 2700 has reportedly outperformed Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 in benchmark testing. In Geekbench 6.5’s multi-core CPU test, the chipset is said to have scored around 20% higher than the processor featured in the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max.
The Galaxy S27+ is also expected to use the Exynos 2700 chipset, while the Ultra model could feature a customised Snapdragon processor.
The standard Galaxy S27 is reportedly set to feature a 6.27-inch AMOLED display, which could make it the smallest model in the upcoming series.
