The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE appears to be moving closer to launch after being listed on the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification database. While Samsung has not officially confirmed the device, the listing reportedly reveals details about its connectivity hardware and suggests an unusual combination of Samsung and Qualcomm technologies.
The FCC filing indicates that the Galaxy S26 FE could continue with an Exynos chipset and Samsung modem, while using Qualcomm’s FastConnect platform for local wireless connectivity such as Wi-Fi.
The listing reportedly references technologies from both Samsung LSI (S.LSI) and Qualcomm. Such filings can sometimes indicate that a phone will use different chipsets in different markets. However, the available details do not appear to point to that approach for Samsung’s next Fan Edition model.
According to the FCC documents, Samsung LSI technology is used for cellular WWAN connectivity, while Qualcomm FastConnect handles local wireless features. Phones with Qualcomm modems generally mention Qualcomm Smart Transmit technology in FCC filings, but this feature does not appear in the Galaxy S26 FE listing.
The certification also points to 45W wired fast charging, matching the Galaxy S25 FE. Other reported features include reverse wireless charging, NFC, Wi-Fi 6 and satellite connectivity support.
Previous reports have suggested that the Galaxy S26 FE could launch around September 1 in select global markets. The smartphone is expected to be available with 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage options.
Leaked European pricing has also indicated that the Galaxy S26 FE could be more expensive than its predecessor. Samsung has yet to officially confirm the handset, its chipset configuration or pricing.
