In a strategic move reflecting evolving global work models, Japanese multi-service platform company RakSul has set up a new Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru, focusing on a lean and high-impact structure instead of large-scale operations.
The newly launched centre is designed as a “nano GCC,” with a planned workforce of around 100 employees. This model highlights close collaboration between skilled engineers and artificial intelligence tools to improve productivity and innovation.
RakSul’s approach signals a shift in GCC strategy, where quality and expertise take priority over size. The model is built to improve efficiency using AI-supported workflows, create a specialised engineering team, reduce operational costs while maintaining output, and enable quicker decision-making and innovation cycles.
Bengaluru continues to attract global companies setting up GCCs due to its strong talent base, well-established IT ecosystem and innovation-focused environment. RakSul’s move further strengthens the city’s position as a preferred destination for advanced technology centres and AI-driven operations.
The nano GCC concept also reflects a shift in Bengaluru’s commercial real estate trends. Companies are increasingly choosing smaller, high-quality office spaces. This includes rising demand for managed workspaces and co-working setups, especially in major tech corridors.
The growth of compact, AI-led GCCs shows a broader transformation in global operations. Organisations are now focusing more on specialised talent and automation instead of expanding large workforces. This trend could reshape leasing patterns, with continued demand for premium office spaces and less reliance on large office formats.
RakSul’s nano GCC model points to a possible evolution in global capability centre strategies. With rising AI adoption, similar models may emerge across industries, further strengthening Bengaluru’s role as a global technology and innovation hub.
