Poco is preparing to expand its X8 lineup in India with 2 new smartphones later this week. The Poco X8 Power and X8 will join the already launched Poco X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max. Ahead of the launch, Poco has revealed several key specifications and features of both models.

The Poco X8 Power will be powered by an octa core Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. The company claims the phone has scored more than 10,00,000 points on AnTuTu. It will come with 8GB of RAM, matching the standard X8.

Both smartphones will feature a 6.83 inch 1.5K AMOLED 12 bit display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The panels will offer up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, HDR10+, 68 billion colours, TÜV Rheinland Eye Protection certification and Wet Touch Display 2.0. An in display fingerprint scanner will also be included on both models.

The Poco X8 Power and X8 will support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. They will run Xiaomi’s Android 16 based HyperOS 3.0, with Poco promising 4 years of OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates.

The Poco X8 will be available in Black, Fiery Orange and Frost White. It will also carry IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.

Battery capacity will be a major difference between the 2 models. The Poco X8 will pack a 9,000mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging, while the X8 Power will feature a 10,000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging. Both phones will support 22.5W wired reverse charging.

The Poco X8 Power and X8 will launch in India on September 4 at 12pm IST. Both smartphones will be sold in the country through Flipkart, with more details expected ahead of the launch.
