Fresh leaks have offered an early look at the upcoming Oppo Reno 16 Pro, hinting at its launch timeline, design changes, and expected specifications.
According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the smartphone is likely to be unveiled between July and August this year. This suggests a quicker release cycle compared to the previous Reno 15 series, which debuted in November.
The Oppo Reno 16 Pro is tipped to feature a 6.32-inch OLED display, smaller than the 6.78-inch panel seen on its predecessor. It is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup, including a 200-megapixel primary sensor. The design may include a glass and aluminium build along with an action button, similar to recent OnePlus devices.
Reports suggest that the camera layout will remain similar to the Reno 15 Pro. The battery could see a slight upgrade over the existing 6,500mAh unit.
Earlier leaks have also indicated that the device may launch in the second half of the year. It is expected to be available in black, green, purple, and white colour options.
The smartphone is likely to be offered in multiple configurations, including 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. It may launch alongside other models such as Reno 16, Reno 16 Pro Mini, and Reno 16 Pro Max. The device could be powered by either the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC or the Dimensity 9500s chipset.
For comparison, the Oppo Reno 15 Pro was launched in India in January at ₹67,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant. It features a MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, a triple rear camera setup with a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 periscope telephoto camera. It also includes a 50-megapixel front camera and a 6,500mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
