Google has appointed Nitin Gajria as Managing Director for Southeast Asia and South Asia frontier markets, bringing him back to Southeast Asia more than 12 years after he began his journey with the company in the region.
Gajria brings more than 25 years of professional experience, including over 12 years at Google. Most recently, he led publisher partnerships across Asia Pacific.
Earlier in his Google career, Gajria oversaw investments across Sub-Saharan Africa and led the company’s large customer sales business across Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
His new regional leadership role comes as AI adoption continues to accelerate across Southeast Asia and South Asia frontier markets. Google has reported that the number of active Gemini users has more than doubled over the past year.
