In this role, she will lead enterprise-wide learning strategy, leadership development, and capability-building initiatives aligned with L&T’s priorities around innovation, sustainability, and long-term value creation.
Usmani has previously been associated with L&T, where she served as Head – Talent Development & Strategic Initiatives. In this role, she played a key part in shaping leadership development frameworks and advancing talent strategies across the organisation.
Before joining L&T, she built a strong consulting and learning leadership career at KPMG India, progressing from Associate Director to Director and later Associate Partner. During her tenure, she led partner development programs, designed leadership learning strategies, and delivered client-focused learning solutions, including coaching senior leaders and creating high-impact learning journeys.
Earlier, Usmani worked at Deloitte India (Offices of the US), where she led the Development Center of Excellence for Strategy & Operations, driving large-scale learning strategy, curriculum design, and training impact measurement initiatives.
She also spent several years at Capgemini as Curriculum Director, where she designed global leadership and onboarding programs, including large-scale virtual learning initiatives for employees across geographies.
In the early phase of her career, Usmani held roles at KPIT and Contract Advertising, focusing on employee engagement, communication strategies, and business development.
Usmani holds an MBA from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and brings strong expertise in leadership development, learning strategy, coaching, and talent transformation.
