NextSilicon has appointed Rupal Hollenbeck as President and Chief Business Officer, bringing more than 30 years of technology industry experience to the company as it looks to expand adoption of its computing solutions for AI and high-performance computing (HPC).

In her new role, Hollenbeck will oversee the company’s global go-to-market activities, including sales, marketing, communications, strategic partnerships, business development, customer engagement and success.

Her appointment comes as NextSilicon expands market adoption of its Maverick Intelligent Compute Architecture and advances its Arbel RISC-V processor roadmap.

As AI workloads become increasingly agentic and multimodal, NextSilicon is positioning Maverick-2 around the ability to adapt to changing workloads in real time. The platform is designed to improve utilisation, memory movement and end-to-end efficiency while reducing the need for costly code rewrites and vendor lock-in.

Elad Raz, Founder and CEO of NextSilicon, said, “I’ve spent meaningful time with Rupal and came away convinced that she is the person I want alongside the leadership team and me for this next chapter. We are at a critical point, scaling Maverick in HPC, expanding into AI, and building our CPU roadmap with Arbel. Rupal brings the experience, judgment, and ambition we need, and I’m incredibly excited to build the future of compute with her.”

Hollenbeck joins NextSilicon after serving as President of Check Point Software Technologies, where she led the company’s global go-to-market organisation. She previously served as Chief Marketing Officer at Cerebras Systems and Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Oracle.

Earlier in her career, she spent more than 23 years at Intel, holding executive roles across the US and Asia, including positions spanning global data centre sales and Intel China.

Commenting on her appointment, Hollenbeck said, “As AI systems become more agentic and workflow-driven, NextSilicon’s Maverick product line is increasingly able to adapt in real time, so customers can keep pace without constantly rebuilding their infrastructure. What drew me to the company is a tremendously talented team that has proven that the technology works in production and delivers true global impact.”

NextSilicon’s Maverick-2 accelerator is already deployed at dozens of customer sites worldwide, including the Spectra supercomputer at Sandia National Laboratories. Spectra recently achieved full system acceptance under the Vanguard programme after meeting performance, stability and application-compatibility requirements for mission-relevant workloads.

The company is also increasing investment in Arbel, its server-class RISC-V computing roadmap designed for the evolving requirements of AI infrastructure and HPC.

Together, Maverick and Arbel form part of NextSilicon’s broader strategy to develop computing platforms spanning CPUs, accelerators, memory, networking and software.

As NextSilicon moves towards higher-volume commercial deployments, Hollenbeck will lead the organisation responsible for driving wider customer adoption, strategic partnerships and sustainable global growth.
