National Australia Bank (NAB) has appointed Gaurav Gupta as Senior Vice President – Talent Acquisition, where he will lead technology talent acquisition for India and work with business leaders to strengthen the organisation’s technology talent pipeline.
Gupta joins NAB after more than 13 years with Optum in Gurugram, where he held several talent acquisition leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Associate Director – Talent Acquisition from March 2023 to August 2026.
Before that, Gupta spent 3 years as Senior Manager – Talent Acquisition, with responsibilities that included niche talent acquisition. He also worked as Manager – Talent Acquisition for 4 years and spent more than 3 years as Senior Specialist – Talent Acquisition.
His long tenure at Optum gave him extensive experience across recruitment and talent acquisition, with his career progressing to associate director-level responsibilities.
Before joining Optum, Gupta spent more than 6 years with RMSI, progressing from Project Trainee and Trainee to Executive – HRD, Senior Executive – HRD and Assistant Manager – HRD.
At RMSI, his responsibilities covered recruitment and selection for GIS, software and support businesses, manpower requisition tracking, interviews, salary negotiations, vendor management and recruitment analytics. He also worked on high-volume hiring for niche GIS technology roles and supported recruitment for a new branch in Dehradun.
With around 20 years of experience across human resources and talent acquisition, Gupta brings a career focused on recruitment, talent strategy and leadership in hiring functions.
At NAB, his mandate will centre on strengthening technology talent acquisition in India while partnering with leadership and business teams on evolving workforce requirements.
