Dinkar Ayilavarapu takes over as CEO of Justdial to drive its next phase of digital growth

Justdial has appointed Dinkar Ayilavarapu as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), marking a key leadership transition as the company focuses on its next phase of digital innovation and business growth.

Dinkar brings more than 20 years of experience in strategy, digital transformation, business operations, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational leadership across consulting and technology-led businesses.

Before joining Justdial, he spent more than 5 years at Flipkart, where he held 2 senior leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Head of Flipkart Wholesale, leading the company’s B2B commerce business with full P&L responsibility. He played a key role in transforming Flipkart Wholesale into a digital-first, customer-focused platform by driving profitable growth through omnichannel strategy, operational excellence, governance, customer engagement, leadership development, and organizational simplification.

Alongside this role, Dinkar also served as Vice President and Head of Strategy & Transformation, leading enterprise-wide corporate strategy, portfolio planning, board governance, shareholder engagement, business transformation, annual operating planning, and strategic execution across the Flipkart Group.

Since 2021, he has also been a Member of the Board of Directors at Kheyti, supporting the organization’s mission to improve agricultural livelihoods through climate-smart innovations and sustainable farming solutions.

Earlier, Dinkar spent 14 years at Bain & Company, where he progressed from Consultant to Partner. During this time, he advised leading organizations across telecommunications, technology, healthcare, digital services, and infrastructure on corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, post-merger integration, change management, operational transformation, business growth, and organizational effectiveness. His work covered India, the United States, Europe, Singapore, and South Africa.

Before Bain, he worked as a Consultant at Accenture, advising clients on market assessment, business strategy, operational improvement, supply chain transformation, and capability development.

He began his corporate career at ITC Limited as Assistant Manager, where he worked across brand management, sales leadership, marketing strategy, pricing, promotions, and commercial execution for several leading consumer brands.

Dinkar holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, specializing in management and strategy.

His appointment reflects Justdial’s focus on strengthening digital capabilities, accelerating platform innovation, improving customer experience, and driving sustainable growth across its technology-enabled local search and commerce platform.
