Karen Fascenda joins Liquidity Services to lead global people strategy as CHRO

Liquidity Services has appointed Karen Fascenda as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In her new role, she will lead the company’s global people strategy, talent management, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, culture, and HR operations as Liquidity Services continues to expand its position in the global B2B surplus asset marketplace.

Karen brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in human resources across the technology, e-commerce, telecommunications, financial services, and healthcare sectors. Her expertise includes talent strategy, organizational transformation, leadership development, culture building, executive coaching, and scaling high-growth businesses.

Before joining Liquidity Services, Karen served as Chief People Officer at Udemy, where she led the global people organization and strengthened the company’s talent, leadership, and culture strategy during a key phase of growth. She later continued supporting the company as an Advisor, providing strategic guidance to its leadership team.

Earlier, she was Vice President, People (Head of People & Culture) at Gopuff, where she built and led the global People & Culture function during the company’s rapid international expansion. She partnered with executive leaders to strengthen leadership capability and develop the people infrastructure needed to support business growth.

Karen also spent more than 4 years at Comcast, serving in several senior HR leadership roles. She most recently held the position of Vice President Human Resources – Freedom Region after previously leading the California Region HR organization. Earlier, she played a key role in building Xfinity Mobile as Executive Director – Human Resources, XFINITY Mobile & Strategic Development.

Before Comcast, Karen spent nearly 10 years at eBay Enterprise, progressing through leadership roles in talent acquisition, learning and development, organizational development, and HR business partnering. She also spent almost 7 years at Siemens, leading executive development, leadership development, organizational consulting, and learning initiatives across the organization.

Karen began her career at First Union National Bank, where she spent nearly 10 years in HR and banking leadership roles, including Assistant Vice President – HR Generalist, Training & Development Team Leader, Training Consultant, and Personal Banker.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Dynamics with a concentration in Organizational Consulting and Executive Coaching from the University of Pennsylvania, strengthening her expertise in leadership development and organizational effectiveness.

Her appointment reflects Liquidity Services’ continued focus on strengthening leadership, people, organizational capability, innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation across its global marketplace platform.
