Apple’s upcoming flagship smartphones may bring back a familiar colour option, according to a new leak. The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to launch globally, including India, next week during Apple’s ‘Surprise and Shine’ event.

Alongside the new iPhone models, Apple is also expected to introduce its first book style foldable, iPhone Ultra, as well as the Apple Watch Series 12 and AirPods 5. Ahead of the launch, several leaks have revealed possible details about the upcoming devices, including their colour options.

Silver shade appears in new leak

Tipster Sonny Dickson (@SonnyDickson) shared an image on X that appears to show SIM trays of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The purported trays are seen in burgundy, blue and silver shades.

The image suggests that the iPhone 18 Pro series could be offered in silver, similar to its predecessor.

However, the latest leak conflicts with an earlier claim that the smartphones would launch in 3 new colours. Another tipster had said the lineup would arrive in “Burgundy, Pure Black, and Sky Blue” shades, translated from Chinese, while claiming that silver would not be available.

The leaked image, however, appears to show 4 colour options, including silver.

Black colour remains uncertain

Dickson has not confirmed whether the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will also be available in black. Earlier reports have suggested that Apple could introduce a black shade darker than the one offered on the iPhone 17.

Apple has not confirmed any of these colour details, so the information should be treated cautiously.

Apple is expected to reveal the complete details on Sept 9 at 10:00 am PT (10:30 pm IST) at Apple Park in Cupertino during the ‘Surprise and Shine’ event.

The iPhone 18 Pro is also rumoured to feature the new A20 Pro chipset. It is expected to retain the design of its predecessor and could feature a triple rear camera system.
