In a continued effort to curb online fraud and illegal digital activities, the Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police carried out multiple operations during April, leading to several arrests and enforcement actions.
A total of 56 individuals were arrested for their involvement in different cybercrime cases. These arrests were made across multiple states, including Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Karnataka.
During the operations, police seized 34 mobile phones, 8 cheque books, and other related items from the accused.
In addition to arrests, cyber patrol teams also took action against illegal online promotions. Authorities identified 184 social media profiles that were running 801 paid advertisements linked to online gaming and betting applications. These profiles were reported to the respective platforms and have since been taken down to prevent unlawful activities.
The actions highlight ongoing efforts by law enforcement to monitor and control cybercrime activities and digital misuse.
