Days before its official launch in India, key details about the upcoming HMD Vibe 2 5G have surfaced online, revealing its expected pricing, storage variants and major specifications. The smartphone is set to launch in the country on May 21 at 12 pm IST.
According to leaks shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav on X, the base variant of the HMD Vibe 2 5G is expected to be priced at Rs. 8,999 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The 4GB + 128GB variant could arrive at Rs. 9,999, while the top-end 6GB + 128GB model is reportedly expected to cost Rs. 10,999.
The smartphone is tipped to feature a Unisoc T8200 chipset paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. For selfies and video calls, the device is expected to include an 8-megapixel front camera.
The leaked details also suggest that the handset may come with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
HMD has already confirmed that the smartphone will go on sale in India through Flipkart. The device will reportedly be available in 3 colour options named Cosmic Lavender, Nordic Blue and Peach Pink.
The company recently confirmed that the HMD Vibe 2 5G will pack a 6,000mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging through a USB Type-C port.
For photography, the smartphone is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel AI main camera, along with an additional secondary sensor. The phone is also shown with a 3.5mm audio jack for connectivity.
The HMD Vibe 2 5G is expected to enter the budget smartphone segment with features focused on battery life, AI camera support and 5G connectivity.
