In her new role, Lalitha will lead the GitLab’s regional marketing strategy and execution, driving integrated campaigns, customer engagement, partner initiatives and go-to-market programmes to support its continued growth in India.
As India continues to emerge as a global hub for software development and enterprise technology adoption, Lalitha will focus on strengthening GitLab’s brand presence while helping organisations adopt secure and collaborative software development practices. She will work closely with the company’s sales, partner and customer success teams to accelerate pipeline growth and deepen customer relationships across the region.
Commenting on her appointment, Lalitha said, “I am delighted to share that I have joined GitLab as Principal Regional Marketing Manager for India. With India continuing to be one of the world’s most vibrant software ecosystems, it’s an exciting time to help scale GitLab across the region and contribute to its mission of unlocking every team to ship trusted software at the speed of imagination.”
Before joining GitLab, Lalitha served as Senior Field Marketing Manager – India at New Relic, where she became the company’s 1st marketing hire in the country. During her 3-year tenure, she built and expanded the regional marketing function, leading integrated demand generation programmes, executive events, account-based marketing, partner campaigns, community initiatives and flagship industry events across enterprise, commercial and Global Capability Centre (GCC) segments.
Earlier in her career, Lalitha held marketing roles at Kristal.AI, RoundSqr (later acquired by Cigniti) and FirstMatch™. Across these organisations, she gained extensive experience in B2B SaaS marketing, field marketing, partner marketing, content strategy, demand generation and go-to-market execution.
Her appointment reflects GitLab’s continued investment in India as enterprises increasingly adopt AI-enabled software development, DevSecOps and cloud-native technologies. With Lalitha leading regional marketing, the company aims to strengthen engagement with customers, developers and technology partners across the country.
