DSP Finance Private Limited has appointed Anuj J as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), with a mandate to strengthen the company’s cybersecurity, information security and enterprise resilience framework.

In his new role, Anuj will focus on bringing together cybersecurity, business, risk and artificial intelligence to support secure growth and strengthen organisational trust.

Anuj brings experience across information security leadership, cyber risk and resilience, BFSI security, AI security governance, enterprise risk and regulatory compliance. His professional background includes responsibilities associated with CISO functions and security programmes within regulated financial services environments.

At DSP Finance, his responsibilities will include aligning cybersecurity priorities with broader business and risk objectives. His mandate also covers security considerations around emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.

The appointment comes as financial services organisations increasingly rely on digital systems and technology-enabled services while managing sensitive information and regulatory requirements. Cyber resilience and information security have therefore become closely connected with broader technology and risk management.

Anuj’s expertise spans cybersecurity, cyber risk, resilience and enterprise risk, with a focus on the BFSI sector. His profile also highlights AI security governance, reflecting the growing need to integrate security and governance into the adoption of AI technologies.

His experience includes regulatory and compliance areas such as the ISO 27001 information security standard and Reserve Bank of India (RBI) requirements. These areas are particularly relevant for financial services organisations that need to align their security frameworks with regulatory and risk management obligations.

Anuj has also advocated for cybersecurity to operate as a business enabler rather than as a standalone technology function. Announcing his move to DSP Finance, he said he looked forward to bringing together “cybersecurity, business, risk and AI” to enable secure growth, build resilience and create trust.

His industry engagement has also included discussions around the role of cybersecurity and AI in strengthening compliance structures and organisational security.

At DSP Finance, his CISO mandate will therefore span traditional information security responsibilities as well as AI security governance, cyber resilience, business risk and regulatory compliance.

The appointment marks a new phase in Anuj’s cybersecurity leadership career and places him at the centre of DSP Finance’s information security agenda as the company continues to operate in the financial services sector.
