Dharmendra Bhalani has been elevated to Chief People Officer – PVC Business at Adani Group, taking on responsibility for the human resources strategy across the business. In his expanded role, he will support the greenfield project through execution, commissioning and its transition to operations and maintenance.
Before this elevation, Bhalani served as Associate Vice President – HR and Lead – Talent Management, Learning and Development, Technology and Governance at Adani Group. He led talent management, employee development and the HR technology roadmap for the emerging petrochemicals business. His responsibilities also covered organisation design, capability building, employee retention, succession planning, HR governance and site HR oversight.
Earlier, Bhalani worked as Site Head – Human Resources for Adani Group’s Petrochemical Business, where he established the HR and administration function from the ground up. His work included workforce support, capacity building, statutory registrations, contractor compliance and site systems for a large-scale project environment.
Before returning to Adani Group, he served as Head of Human Resources at Sun Pharma, overseeing HR, administration and security for its Injectable Formulations Division.
Bhalani’s career also includes more than 7 years at Nayara Energy, where he worked across workforce planning, capability building, employee engagement, learning and organisational transition. He has held additional HR leadership roles at Essar Projects, Adani Power, Juriscape and Gujarat Ambuja Exports.
Across these organisations, he has gained experience in talent acquisition, HR operations, compensation, learning and development, compliance, project HR and international workforce mobilisation.
With more than 2 decades of experience in human resources and organisational transformation, Bhalani will focus on supporting the people strategy for Adani Group’s PVC business.
