CoRover.ai, the developer of BharatGPT, has been selected as the sole winner of the Government of India’s RFP for Agentic AI, issued under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the National e-Governance Division. The company emerged ahead of more than 80 participants, including Deloitte, EY, PwC, KPMG, Tata Consultancy Services, NEC, Kyndryl and Jio Haptik.
Following technical and commercial evaluations, 6 companies were empanelled. CoRover.ai secured the highest technical score and also emerged as L1 in the commercial bidding, making it the sole selected partner for the Unified AI Assistant and Bot platform.
The implementation will begin with DigiLocker and is expected to subsequently expand to hundreds of government departments. AI agents will be developed and deployed using CoRover.ai’s sovereign AI platform for the Government of India.
The platform supports more than 100 languages and is designed to operate across multiple modalities, channels and AI models. It is powered by BharatGPT foundational models and CoRover.ai’s proprietary 4-Layer Composite AI Architecture, which is designed around accuracy, explainability, security and cost efficiency.
The company reports that its technology has impacted 1.8 billion lives, with more than 65 million monthly active users and over 15,000 AI agents deployed so far.
The selection positions CoRover.ai to support the government’s expansion of agentic AI across digital public services, beginning with DigiLocker and potentially extending to a much wider range of government departments.
