Chirag G. Joshi joins Axis Finance to lead MSME Credit for Business Banking and Retail

Axis Finance Limited has appointed Chirag G. Joshi as Head – Credit MSME (Business Banking and Retail). He brings extensive experience in MSME and business banking, credit risk, portfolio management, underwriting, policy governance, and commercial lending.

Before joining Axis Finance, Joshi held multiple leadership positions at Axis Bank. His roles included Senior Vice President I & National Credit Manager – Wholesale Credit (SBB), VP & National Credit Manager – SBB High Value Underwriting, Vice President – Area Credit Head, DVP – Area Credit Head & Risk Approver (Medium Enterprise), DVP & Head Surat Region, DVP & Head SME Region Mumbai & Worli, AVP & Head Credit – SME & Corporate Agri (West 1), Assistant Vice President & Relationship Manager, Senior Manager – Credit, Manager – Credit Analyst, and Deputy Manager – Credit Analyst.

Earlier in his career, Joshi worked at Punjab and Maharashtra Co-operative Bank Ltd., where he served as Credit Manager – Corporate Finance, Senior Credit & Risk Analyst, and Assistant – Credit Analyst.

With his extensive background in credit strategy, risk management, and business banking, Joshi is well positioned to lead the MSME credit function at Axis Finance and support the company’s continued growth in the business banking and retail segment.
