China Film Technology partners with UFO Moviez to expand CINITY projection in India

In a move set to enhance cinema experiences, China Film Technology (CFT) has entered into a strategic partnership with UFO Moviez to introduce advanced film projection systems across India.

As part of the agreement, at least 15 CINITY projection systems will be deployed across the country over the next 3 years. These systems, developed by CFT, are designed to deliver a more immersive and high-quality viewing experience for audiences. The initiative marks a key step in taking China’s independently developed cinema technology to international markets.

The collaboration will also see the establishment of a CINITY mastering center in Hyderabad. This facility will support the creation of CINITY-exclusive versions of both Hollywood and Indian films, ensuring standardised production of high-quality film master copies tailored for the format.

The partnership is expected to act as a foundation for expanding the CINITY cinema network beyond India. It aims to bring advanced film formats to regions including South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

UFO Moviez, one of India’s leading cinema integrators, plays a key role in this expansion. The company operates a network of 4,049 screens across 1,359 cities and was the first in India to enable cinema digitisation through satellite technology.

The deal highlights a growing collaboration between global technology providers and India’s film exhibition sector, with a focus on upgrading theatre infrastructure and enhancing audience experience.
