Sameer brings over 20 years of experience across global financial institutions. As a growth-focused finance leader, he will lead financial strategy, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen revenue planning at the company.
He joins from Visa India, where he served as Head of Finance, overseeing financial operations and planning. Earlier, he held senior roles at Vodafone as General Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis for enterprise and carrier businesses, and at ING Australia as Senior M&A Analyst. He began his career at Crisil and Citigroup.

Sameer’s appointment comes at a crucial phase for the company. Cashfree Payments is among the first in India to secure all 3 RBI payments licenses—Payment Aggregator (PA-PG), cross-border (PA-CB), and Prepaid Payment Instrument (PPI). This regulatory edge has supported strong year-on-year growth, with cross-border payments growing by 250%.
