Sheena Nayak brings extensive experience in global sanctions, trade controls, regulatory governance, enterprise risk management, and compliance strategy. She joins the financial services company at a time when organizations across the industry are strengthening governance frameworks and enhancing risk management capabilities amid an evolving regulatory landscape.
In her new role, Nayak will lead Capital One’s global sanctions, trade controls, and enterprise screening functions, supporting the company’s commitment to strong compliance practices and responsible business growth.
Prior to joining Capital One, she held leadership positions at BCUS, Inc., Meta, Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking (SGCIB), EY, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA), and the James Martin Center for Non-Proliferation Studies.
Throughout her career, Nayak has built deep expertise in sanctions compliance, financial crime risk management, regulatory oversight, and international trade controls. Her experience spans both public and private sector organizations, providing a broad perspective on navigating complex global regulatory environments.
With her extensive leadership background and specialized knowledge, Nayak is expected to play a key role in advancing Capital One’s compliance, governance, and risk management initiatives while supporting the organization’s long-term growth objectives.
