CAMS appoints Prasenjit Datt as CTO to accelerate technology innovation and digital transformation initiatives

Prasenjit brings extensive experience across financial services, digital transformation, enterprise technology, engineering leadership and large-scale technology operations. Over the course of his career, he has led technology strategy, product innovation and digital modernization programs across banking, fintech and financial services organizations.

Prior to joining CAMS, Prasenjit served as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer at Vivriti Group, comprising Vivriti Capital and Vivriti Asset Management. In this role, he led the organization’s technology strategy, digital transformation initiatives and in-house engineering functions, helping position the company as a technology-driven leader in the financial services sector.

During his tenure, he built and scaled the Engineering, Architecture, DevSecOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Research & Development, Digitalization and Infrastructure teams from the ground up to more than 150 professionals. He also led the development and launch of 16 enterprise-grade products designed to support the company’s go-to-market strategy and business expansion.

Prasenjit played a significant role in supporting the growth of Vivriti Capital and Vivriti Asset Management, helping scale the combined portfolio from ₹1,600 crore to ₹16,500 crore through technology-enabled business transformation and operational excellence.

Before Vivriti Group, he held a leadership position at Xpress Money Global, where he helped shape the company’s technology roadmap and drive operational excellence across global financial services operations. He led the development and management of an in-house technology ecosystem serving customers across more than 170 countries through mobile applications, web platforms and franchise API integrations. Under his leadership, the platform processed more than 250 million transactions annually while managing nearly USD 115 billion in customer value.

Earlier, Prasenjit served as Head of IT and Vice President at RBL FinServe Ltd, a subsidiary of RBL Bank. He was responsible for overseeing the organization’s technology landscape, including IT strategy, cybersecurity, infrastructure, core banking systems, CRM, ERP, analytics, HRMS, software development operations, vendor management and financial governance.

He also served as Assistant Vice President – IT at Vistaar Financial Services, where he contributed to the company’s technology and digital transformation initiatives.

Prasenjit began his professional journey with leading global technology organizations, including Oracle Corporation, Cognizant, where he supported Logitech in the United States, and Tech Mahindra, where he worked on projects for British Telecom in the United Kingdom.

With deep expertise spanning enterprise architecture, engineering leadership, DevSecOps, cloud infrastructure, digital transformation, product development and financial technology, Prasenjit is expected to play a key role in driving CAMS’ technology vision, innovation agenda and long-term digital growth strategy.
