Chitwan brings extensive FMCG leadership experience across India, West Africa, South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, and the United States. His appointment reflects Britannia Industries’ continued focus on strengthening its international business operations and expanding its global market presence.
Before joining Britannia Industries in this new role, Chitwan served as Chief Executive Officer at Strength Of Nature, a Godrej company. Earlier, he worked with Godrej Consumer Products Limited as CEO/Managing Director – West Africa, leading regional business growth and operations across key African markets.
Prior to Godrej, Chitwan held senior leadership positions at Olam International, where he managed packaged foods businesses across Ghana, neighbouring West African markets, and South Africa. In these roles, he oversaw P&L management, manufacturing, sales, distribution, R&D, marketing, HR, and finance operations.
This appointment also marks a return to Britannia Industries for Chitwan, where he previously spent more than 7 years in several leadership positions including Head – Modern Trade, Group Product Manager, Key Accounts & Sales Development Manager, and Area Sales Manager – Snacking. During his earlier tenure, he contributed to sales growth, market development, and category expansion initiatives across the business.
With his broad international FMCG leadership experience and strong operational expertise, Chitwan’s appointment is expected to support Britannia Industries’ next phase of international growth and market expansion.
