Vamsi Tekuru has joined global biopharmaceutical company Bristol Myers Squibb as Managing Director in Hyderabad, marking a new chapter in his career spanning technology leadership, digital engineering and enterprise transformation.
Announcing his appointment on LinkedIn, Tekuru said, “Today marks an exciting new milestone in my career as I officially begin my journey as Managing Director at Bristol Myers Squibb, Hyderabad. I am deeply honored to join an organisation driven by a powerful, singular mission: transforming patients’ lives through science,”
Before joining Bristol Myers Squibb, Tekuru spent over a decade at Ameriprise Financial Services, where he served as Vice President and India Head of Technology, as well as Hyderabad Global Capability Centre (GCC) Head.
At Ameriprise, he led a team of over 2,000 professionals responsible for developing and supporting digital platforms across business areas including advice and wealth management, asset management, insurance and annuities, and banking.
His responsibilities extended across digital engineering, product management, user experience, cloud transformation, enterprise architecture and platform modernisation. He also led global technology initiatives involving AI-enabled software development, data platforms and cloud-native systems.
During his tenure, Tekuru played a key role in expanding technology capabilities in India, building engineering teams and strengthening Hyderabad’s position as a strategic innovation and technology hub.
